Brad Pillon’s Eat Stop Eat diet is unique and has an interesting twist on dieting. The method utilizes intermittent fasting as a way to cut back on the calories you consume while not having to count each and every calorie.
Brad Pillon reveals in the diet information that he was once a researcher at one of the leading supplement companies and goes on to explain how he devised this diet that is based on fasting. Pillon claims that the Eat Stop Eat method is a way of eating that can ultimately grow into a way of life.
There are three packages available-basic, deluxe and advanced. The Basic plan includes the main ‘Eat Stop Eat’ guide Ebook. The Deluxe package throws in a ‘How Much Protein’ guide (121 pages) and the Advanced package adds the 25 page guide ‘The Ten Day Diet Solution’ as well as six audio files and transcript, a ‘Why Diets Stop Working’ audio file plus transcript as well as six short interviews with Pillon done by fitness experts.
The Eat Stop Eat eBook consists of 91 pages that contain all of Pillon’s findings and backings on why this diet is sensible and takes you through the steps of how to go about the intermittent fasting and also how and what to eat when you are not fasting. You are also strongly encouraged to follow intense resistance training workouts at least three days every week while following the diet.
At first look, a dieter may be a bit skeptical because we have read so much about how fasting is generally not healthy.
From a few first hand accounts on the internet, some people who purchased Pillon’s Ebook, say that they failed on the first attempt at the diet because they ended up grossly overeating before and after fasting. Some people stated that they somehow felt that they were not getting ‘enough food’, which made them overeat.
Pillon actually confirms this in his book when he explains the difference between when you are hungry for food and when your mind is merely exercising its food addiction. The principle of the diet is that intermittent fasting assists you in breaking away from this food addiction which in turn, leaves you more in control of your eating habits.
With respect to the resistance training that you must do along with the intermittent fasting, Eat Stop Eat is not for everyone. Many people simply refuse to exercise when dieting, so it is not for the physically un-motivated individual.
The diet is more suited to a person who is no stranger to working out-especially with regards to resistance training.
Eat Stop Eat is a very easy to follow program that is clearly explained. Pillon takes the time to explain why and how intermittent dieting does indeed work at taking off the fat.
The fact that this exercise method integrates a regular resistance exercise routine makes a lot of sense. You are also encouraged to eat healthy food on your eating days.
Eat Stop Eat offers three levels of the program, meaning that you have to pay more in order to receive the extra information with the Deluxe and Advanced programs. This is a pitfall in the diet.
Pillon does not give you any actual exercise program to follow. Rather he offers advice on what types of exercises you should be doing and the frequency and length. Having to find the exercises yourself requires a bit of work.
This diet plan is definitely not for everyone. A diabetic for example, could never safely utilize the Eat Stop Eat diet as they must eat small meals throughout the day to maintain their insulin levels.
| “Eat Stop Eat has been remarkable. I’ve fasted twice weekly for the past month and a half and have shed 15 pounds! The remarkable part is how easy it has been. On my eating days I am careful not to overdo it and try to make good choices about what I eat.”

| “After seven weeks on the Eat Stop Eat program, I lost over nine pounds and three inches off my waist. I am getting smaller every week and now wear a size 5 jeans comfortably without any bulge hanging over my belt.”
~ Anna Tupaz |
Eat Stop Eat is for the person who has self-discipline and a desire to follow a set and consistent exercise routine. This diet is ideal for anyone who has successfully fasted in the past and who can stick to the strict ‘no eating’ fasting days.
Eat Stop Eat is definitely not for the undisciplined dieter or the dieter who has no desire to maintain a strict resistance exercise training routine.
This diet is also not recommended to be followed by diabetics.
Eat Stop Eat may very well prove successful with many people who want to lose some weight. The intermittent fasting routine is sensible, clear-cut and designed to a relatively easy program to follow. This diet would probably be ideal for an athlete and for those who are well self-disciplined as resistance exercise is a big part of the plan itself. Eat Stop Eat should not be followed by anyone suffering low blood sugar or who has diabetes.
